On 24th April 2008, the AGM approved the new constitution for the Bracknell Bridge Leage. The previous constitution included the league rules. The new constitution does not. This enables changes to the rules to be implemented without the need for a formal general meeting.
Note that the current (old) constitution and rules will continue to apply to the 2007/8 league season including any matches not yet played.
At the AGM it was acknowledged that the league rules are only a first draft. Specifically there are anomalies and ambiguities in the area of unfulfilled matches. The heading of section 14 states that it applies for withdrawals but there are also cross references to 14.4 (unfulfilled matches) which imply this rule applies to any unfulfilled match whatever the reason. The committee are considering a revised document to rectify this problem.
